Forward Flux Productions presents The Flux Salon XVIII featuring “Daddy” by Jeremy O. Harris on June 12th & 13th at 7pm. The Salon will be held at Scratch Deli in Capitol Hill.
About the play:
“Franklin, a young black artist, meets Andre, an older European art collector, and time stops for a moment as sparks quickly fly between the two. Set to the tune of George Michael’s “Father Figure”, the May-December romance swirls into a phantasmagoric melodrama as Franklin’s life and lifestyle get a hefty upgrade. While his friends Max and Bellamy watch over mimosas by the pool, Franklin’s Christian mother, Zora, is leaving him voicemails and threatening a visit to his first major art show.
“Daddy” is a play about sex, love, possession(s), and the search for a daddy in Bel Air.”
In addition to the play reading, we will have live music, conversation and drinks. The Salon will be directed by Andy Buffelen with dramaturgy by Charhys Bailey.
Space is limited. Tickets will go on sale in May, or purchase a Flux Salon Pass today to secure your space at this event.
